Martin Memorial Health Systems is
a not-for-profit, community-based
healthcare organization that offers
a wide spectrum of services in St.
Lucie and Martin counties. That includes
two acute-care hospitals located in
Martin County with a total of 344
beds, as well as cardiac and cancer
care, rehabilitation, health and fitness,
laboratory and diagnostic imaging
services.
The health system employs 3,100 Associates
between the two counties, ranging
from physicians and nurses to support
staff and professional service providers.
Martin Memorial has received initial
state approval to build a new hospital
in western St. Lucie County at Tradition,
which could be completed in the next
five years and will create an estimated
400 new jobs.
The Robert and Carol Weissman Cancer
Center at Martin Memorial, through
its affiliation with the esteemed
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, performs
dozens of clinical trials each year.
Martin Memorial has already discussed
working closely on clinical trials
with the Torrey Pines Institute for
Molecular Studies, which is currently
being built near the 20-acre site
for the proposed new hospital in Tradition.
With facilities located in St. Lucie
West and in the heart of Port St.
Lucie, Martin Memorial has served
a vital role in the county’s
health care for many years.
Martin Memorial Health Services at

St. Lucie West Blvd., is a valuable
resource for residents. It features:
advanced radiation therapy technology
for cancer; diagnostic imaging, including
a new MRI machine that is faster and
more powerful than previous technologies;
a health and fitness center; physical
rehabilitation; an urgent-care facility
that can treat a wide array of ailments
and injuries; a laboratory drawing
station; and numerous primary care
physician offices.
Martin Memorial also has a location
at 1651 S.E. Tiffany Ave. in Port
St. Lucie. It offers a laboratory
drawing station; physical rehabilitation;
and primary care physician offices.
