from the Florida Department of Revenue
files representing taxpayer returns.
The highlighted areas represent the
top ten sales activities for the month.
DISCLAIMER
Please note that:
- Gross sales are not audited, thus
may contain significant inaccuracies
and different reporting conventions
by taxpayers.
- After the Legislature adopted
a new resale certificate, some very
large wholesalers were forced to
file returns, beginning in 2000.
Thus the gross sales growth rates
for that year are not representative
of economic activity.
- Monthly data may be corrected
at a later date.
- Data for areas less than countywide
(e.g., zip codes or cities) may
be distorted, as large taxpayers
are, by law, allowed to file countywide
consolidated returns. Thus, the
system assigned the consolidated
return to the area from which it
was filed.
- Economic activity occurs the
month previous to the reporting
month (January activity in the county
is reported as February collections).
- This data does not contain Communications
Services Tax collections.
