The Economic Development Partnership

The mission of the Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County, Inc. (EDC), a private 501(C) 6 not-for-profit corporation is to attract new business, support expansion and retention of existing businesses, and advance community and economic development in the County. 

As a non-profit organization working to enrich the economic vitality of St. Lucie County, our success is dependent on the support and collaboration of our public and private partners.

Our ultimate goal of creating more high-paying jobs for residents can only be achieved when our partners are all moving forward in the same direction and working in concert on agreed upon strategies to promote the retention and expansion of existing businesses, as well as attracting new ones to St. Lucie County.

Each of our partners plays a critical role in implementing and supporting our economic development strategy whether it is: government ensuring permitting and approval processes are streamlined; appropriate infrastructure is in place; or a qualified labor pool is available for employers.

Just as important, our partners serve as ambassadors who share the St. Lucie County story with prospective new businesses – promoting all of the unique attributes and strengths of our community, and communicating to corporate executives and site selectors that St. Lucie County is “open for business.”
