The Marine sector is a targeted industry in St. Lucie County, with over 461 businesses in a variety of marine sectors and over 7,000 employees on the Treasure Coast and Congressional District 21.  The recreational boating industry has a $1.3 billion impact with over 46,000 registered boaters in the region.

Marine related businsses that call St. Lucie County home include Maverick Boat Group, Pursuit Boats, Twin Vee, Bluewater Sportfishing Boats, Americat, Shearwater Boat Yard, Freedom Boat Club, Hi-Tide Boat Lifts and many others.  These national and and international brands are now complemented by new marine related industry partners that include Derecktor Fort Pierce and Contender Boats, 

The region is also served by the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast, a not-for-profit trade association comprised of members in St. Lucie, Martin and Indian River and Okeechobee counties who are dedicated to the promotion of recreational boating and its related industries.
